Meet Our Interim Pastor

Meet Pastor Kristine & Jon Dohrmann
Pastor Kristine was ordained on June 8 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church, Davenport, IA.
Grace has a long history in Jon’s family, as his mother is a life-long member and his grandfather was the church organist for 40+ years. Pastor Kristine prepared for ministry while their family lived in North Carolina. Her Master of Divinity degree is from Campbell University Divinity School, Buies Creek, NC and she did her Lutheran studies at Lutheran Southern Seminary, Columbia, SC. In August, Jon & Kristine will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary. They have three adult children, Liz and Spencer live in
Ames, IA; Matt and daughter-in-law, Mary lives in Fuquay-Varina, NC, and Nick lives in Davenport. They also have a 4-year-old Golden Retriever, Ripley. Pastor Kristine’s hometown is New Windsor, IL where her grandparents owned and operated Willems True Value. Previously, she worked in Human Resources and various church positions while raising their children. Her first call was to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Knoxville, Iowa. Pastor Kristine was also in half-time calls at St Matthew Lutheran, Davenport and Zion Lutheran, Princeton, IA. Most recently she
served as a bereavement coordinator for Promedica/Heartland Hospice. Jon retired in September 2020 from John Deere as manager, internal audit and enjoys yard work and golf. Together they like to relax with family and friends in their swimming pool, play cards, hike, bike and being with their family.
